As Cassy celebrates her own milestone birthday this year, Rockley's Marketing Manager tells us what Rockley means to her.
I haven’t missed a single sports day and my children are 16 and 14 years old. I’ve been to every Christmas Carol Concert, every Easter Service, every awards assembly, every football match. I’ve been able to work and capture every significant school moment with my children. I am well aware that this is not the norm!
There have been soooo many. Here are just a few. (There’s a definite food and booze theme!)
We enjoyed five years of fantastic family holidays. Daisy and Joseph still talk about the amazing times they had and the friends they made. Daisy first sat in a Mango at the age of two and a half – and it started a love of sailing. Endless fun – running/stumbling/falling down the Dune du Pyla and some great trips to Hossegor – which always ended with dinner at Le Napoli. Their pizzas feature highly in our ‘what would be your last meal’ conversations.
The freedom they experienced on these holidays has never been replicated on a holiday since - they are memories that will last a lifetime.
Coming to work with my daughter, Daisy after she passed her RYA Dinghy Instructor Course was surreal. She loves teaching sailing and having a job where she can be outside and on the water! She is already looking forward to working a season abroad after her A-Levels. She would never have had this opportunity without Rockley actively encouraging all the staff and their families to get out on the water.
You cannot work for a company for over 25 years without experiencing some kind of personal sadness. Throughout all the ups and downs, Peter, Lis and Pip have been there to support, guide and reassure. I will be forever grateful for their unwavering support
