Supporting Julia's House

In 2014 Rockley launched their support for Julia's House - a Dorset-based charity which gives care to children of life-limited illnesses and support to their families.

As a company, we feel hugely privileged to work with such an amazing charity and alongside some incredible people who we now consider to be our dear friends. Over the years, we have raised thousands of pounds by participating in sporting events, have hosted sibling weekends and even got our own children and their friends involved!

Putting in the miles!

Since 2014, our staff, who have taken on countless marathons, half marathons, triathlons, and cycling events have Julia's House to thank for their high levels of fitness! Every year we will take on a new challenge. In 2022, Pip was proudly part of Julia's House Team 13 - a group of 13 Dorset-based business leaders who all committed to help raise £13,000 and run 13 miles. The final total was an incredible £70,00!

Sibling Weekends

A highlight of the Rockley calendar are our our sibling weekends. This is where the siblings of those children cared for by Julia's House enjoy an action-packed, fun-filled residential weekend at our Rockley Point centre and take part in a range of water activities. As a company, it's so important that these young people, who are all going through similar experiences have the opportunity to get together and just have some fun.

“Wow what an fabulous weekend that Rockley has just created. The friendships, memories, confidence and smiles that have developed over this weekend is incredible. I would love to hear what the siblings are talking to their friends and teachers about after their weekend, as these children usually won’t have as much to share on a Monday. It was simply heart-warming even in the colder moments and a pleasure to be a part of. The instructors were fantastic at sharing their skills and keeping us together, the Lodge was a great place to hang out and the lunches were perfectly warming. Raffle Events

2016 also saw Rockley celebrating its 40th year and in true Rockley style we had a huge party to celebrate. During the party we hosted a raffle and raised a fantastic £15000 for Julia's House. With members of the Julia's House Team there to help us celebrate, it proved to be a tearful, dance-filled and fun-filled night. We cannot wait to see what we can raise at our 50th party!

Getting the kids involved!

In 2018, the kids of Rockley's employees along with 30 of their friends from Longfleet CE Primary School, Courthill School and Lilliput First School, all took part in the Bournemouth Marathon Festival, running the 1.5km and 2km races. Collectively they raised an amazing £2000. Some very proud staff and parents!

Continuing our support

Rockley will continue to do as much as we can to support Julia's House. Working so closely with the charity has meant that we have built a great relationship with Maria and the rest of the staff who are a pleasure to work alongside. We are also lucky enough to get to meet the children and the families who's lives are helped so much by Julia's House - all of whom are truly inspiring
