Taking it to the next level

This 4-day course further develops your skills from RYA Dinghy Instructor to RYA Senior Instructor. You will be instructed to organise and control group sailing tuition and to supervise and assist instructors.

As well as the pre-requisites below, you will also need to have a certain amount of background knowledge in addition to fairly extensive experience as a Dinghy Instructor - 2 years part time or 1 year full time.

RYA Senior Instructor

The 4-day course covers preparation and delivery of sessions, course and centre management, powerboat handling in a teaching environment and the role of a Senior Instructor. Students will be assessed on a continual basis throughout the course.
