When young people head to the outdoors and are confronted with new activities and challenges - helmets on their heads in preparation for the leap of faith or buoyancy aids on, ready to step into a dinghy - hearts are likely to be pounding. At Rockley, our compassionate and experienced instructors are often the difference between hesitation and exhilaration, fear and excitement.
Adventure activities are, by nature, a step into the unknown. Whether it’s abseiling down a tower, sailing in Poole Harbour or even lighting a campfire for the first time, these moments challenge comfort zones. SAFETY BEYOND EQUIPMENT
Safety in outdoor education is usually associated with gear checks and risk assessments. While those are essential, emotional safety is just as important. Young people need to feel that they can trust the person leading them. Our instructors are selected for their experience and their compassion.
