Today we say a sad 'goodbye' to Education Practical Tutor, and a much-loved member of the Rockley Team, Megan.

Megan joined Rockley in 2017 for the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport (Outdoor Adventure) course. After graduating, she then applied for the Rockley's Outdoor Activity Instructor Apprenticeship which she completed in 2020, gaining a distinction. We were delighted when she then applied for the role as Practical Tutor which involves training the current cohort of college students and apprentices.

Achievements

Megan's commitment and passion has meant that she has gained a huge range of qualifications during her time with us including: RYA Dinghy Instructor, RYA Windsurf Instructor, RYA Senior Instructor, RYA Powerboat Instructor, RYA Advanced Instructor, RYA Paddleboard Instructor and various land based qualifications. No wonder she is so employable!

“Megan has been an outstanding member of our team, a genuine role model for both staff and students alike. Her dedication to our educational courses and her unwavering commitment to helping our students succeed have left a lasting mark at Rockley.”

Clare, Head of Education

We can honestly say that Megan puts her heart and soul into everything she does and has made a huge impact to the Rockley Team and everyone she has trained. Her passion and ambition is taking her to Australia where she will be joining the team at Flying Fish. Our loss is certainly their gain, but we could not be prouder of how she has grown as an individual and of her achievements. While we are always sad to say goodbye to staff, we continue to admire their desire to explore and seek new and exciting adventures, and should she wish to return, we will welcome her back with open arms!
