Nowka Bais is the traditional form of dragon boat style racing in rural villages of Bangladesh held after the monsoon rains and reflects many of the customs of the country. The Nowka Bais was introduced to the UK in Oxford by Aziz-Ur Rahman and his sons in 2007 and has become a hugely popular traditional annual event.
This year the free family event expects to attract over 1000 people with food stalls, fun fair, boat racing, live music and more.
Rockley Bartley will be at the event along with the RYA offering watersport taster sessions.
