The Importance of Student Facilities When Choosing a College

Offering a Level 3 Diploma in Sport (Outdoors), it is imperative that students have access to a range of outdoor facilities along with the space to support their learning. Rockley College is blessed to have a campus located on the beach with direct access to Poole Harbour, along with a quality range of sailing, windsurfing, paddle and powerboating equipment on-hand at their disposal.

Our two satellite centres also provide the opportunity for students to excel in their practical learning. Buddens Activity Centre enables young people to gain access to a range of top-quality land and water-based facilities. This centre, alongside Poole Park are also the locations where students undergo their work experience as part of their course. Having the opportunity to work at two successful activity centres, under the guidance of some of the best trained leaders in the industry, is hugely beneficial to their progress on the course.

With a campus on the beach, a beachside café and a range of classrooms, Rockley College offers a great environment to both socialise and study.

Many of our sports leadership modules also include cycling and walking expeditions to the Purbecks - a wonderful part of the world which sits right on our doorstep.

At Rockley, we always try and encourage our students to be as active as possible. Our optional Academy is an incredible opportunity for our students to get trained and earn industry-recognised National Governing Body and in-house qualifications in a range of water and land-based activities. And it’s all completely FREE and available to ALL students.
