We are hugely proud to announce that Pip has been shortlisted for the role on the RYA Board of Directors, with the decision to be released shortly after voting closes on the 9th November.

With her current, voluntary role as Chair of the RYA Participation and Membership Committee and RYA Dinghy Scheme Trainer, Pip has dedicated much of her working and personal life to grassroots participation in sailing. She is hugely passionate about promoting inclusivity and equal opportunities at grassroots level to ensure the success and sustainability of the sport she loves so much.

“I am honoured and delighted to have been shortlisted and relish the challenge that comes with the role. The water has been a constant source of inspiration for me, motivating me to ensure that the RYA continues to provide the resources and opportunities necessary to nurture future talent and the next generation of sailors and enthusiasts, in the same way that it has inspired me.”

Wealth of Experience

Pip first came to Rockley over two decades ago as the original RYA Onboard Development officer and has also served as a non-executive Director at British Marine, cementing her knowledge of the marine sector and giving her valuable insights into the workings of a dynamic Board of Directors.

“Inclusion of individuals across all socioeconomic backgrounds as well as promoting female participation is key to the continued growth of the sport.”
