Overall Responsibility

Provision of centre facilities to a high standard, care of centre equipment and general land duties also providing care to our clients while not on activity sessions.

Reports to

The Centre Manager and the Activity Manager but also working under the direction of a Centre Senior.

Description of Job - Key Responsibilities

Delivery of centre facilities Provide a high standard of centre facilities as directed by the Land Supervisor & Centre Manager. Daily duties are allocated and include but are not limited to cleaning of the wash blocks, clearing rubbish and preparing tent accommodation prior to client arrivals. 1 week in 3 (general rule) rota’d onto Night Duty where they will work evening shifts 10 – 7am.

Driving duties as and when required on centre.

Standards of the centre facilities Deliver all centre facilities in line with the standards required in the Company’s Standard and Local Operating Procedures. Complete any necessary administration and paperwork as directed by the Centre Manager, Centre Senior and Office Assistant.

Safety of clients and our team onsite As directed by the Centre Manager & land Supervisor, ensure that clients and staff are aware of and follow our safety procedures and policies. Take part in monitoring and evaluation at regular intervals.

Centre equipment and maintenance As directed by the Centre Manager & land Supervisor carry out centre equipment checks; ensure any faulty/damaged equipment is repaired or reported for repair.

Centre and land duties Wake up Wash up Duty – assist in waking the residential school group clients at 0755, oversee the washing up of breakfast, lunch and dinner crockery, glasses and cutlery.

Night Duty Work from 2200 – 0730 on a one week in three rotation as the on duty night person.

General care and welfare duties such as running or assisting activity instructors with evening entertainments, assisting with beach games and swimming pool sessions. Assisting in the kitchen when necessary. Assisting with off-site trips/excursions – eg AquaLand, Dune de Pyla, Mimizan and Biscarrosse Plage

Support Team and land staff work on a split shift pattern dictated by the demands on the centre.

Requirements for this Job

Current RYA (or other accepted) First Aid and DBS certificates

18 years or over

Good to have for this Job

Outgoing, hardworking, flexible attitude
