5. COURSE TIMINGS: Our courses run Monday to Friday, typically from 8.55 am to 3.55 pm. Students are normally in four days a week
6. THE COURSE: The Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sport combines practical and theoretical units to prepare you for work within the industry or for you to pursue a university degree. The course involves a hands-on approach to learning which will complement your classroom learning. With a campus based alongside a working outdoor activity centre, along with two further Dorset-based satellite centres, there is plenty of access to outdoor facilities and activities, as well as ample opportunity to apply the skills learnt throughout the course.
7. TRIPS & ACTIVITIES: Residential trips include a ski and surf trip. We also do lots of day trips - Ninja Warrior, Flip Out, waterparks etc.
8. ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS: Rockley does not provide accommodation. Nearby private housing options are available which we can advise on.
9. ANNUAL STUDENT INTAKE: We typically welcome 50-60 new students each academic year. Maintaining a close-knit community where students can thrive in a supportive environment is key to student success.
10. TYPICAL CLASS SIZE: Classes generally range from 16 to 18 students. Small class sizes ensure quality interaction with instructors and personalised support.
11. TRANSPORT TO ROCKLEY COLLEGE CAMPUS: Students travel to Rockley mainly by train. We recommend carsharing or cycling for local students to reduce travel costs and environmental impact. The train is a popular option for students, with Hamworthy train station just a 15 minute walk to the campus. With a 16-17 saver card, you can access 50% off train fares. For our students travelling from the East, you can catch the train that arrives at 8:03am, giving you plenty of time to walk to college. From Weymouth, the train normally gets to Hamworthy at 8.35am. From Wareham, the train leaves Wareham Train Station at 08:27 and takes just eight minutes
