Tomahawk Throwing

Throughout history axes have been popular as both a tool and weapon, follow in your ancestor’s footsteps and give throwing a try!

Tomahawks are small throwing axes that are designed for throwing to hit a target which is usually made of soft wood (e.g. Poplar, Pine, Wellingtonia or Willow). Skill and accuracy are tested as participants attempt to hit the bullseye for maximum points! Instructors will guide you on the best throwing techniques to ensure you have the most fun in a safe environment.

Orienteering

An exciting and challenging outdoor sport which exercises both the mind and the body. The aim is to navigate between control points marked on an orienteering map. Compete against friends and family to see who can get around the course the fastest or simply work together to read the map and navigate your way around the marked points.

Orienteering gives a purpose to getting outdoors and gives you a great sense of pride and achievement when you find the hidden control point and stamp it off! It is a great way to explore new places, get off the beaten track and add variety to a run or walk. It doesn’t matter how young, old or fit you are - simply choose a course to suit you and go at your own pace.

Climbing

Reach new heights on our climbing wall and take in the view from the top! Climbing is a great sport to work the whole body as you reach, stretch, balance and use both upper and lower body strength. It is also a great mental workout as you plan and navigate your route up the wall, discovering the best way to get to the top!

Challenge yourself to try a harder route up the wall, or, if your aim is just to get to the top, you can take it at your own pace and ability. Climbing is a great activity for the whole family to try - race each other to the top or support and guide each other up the wall. It’s an exciting activity that puts both the mind and the body to the test.
