The fast-track watersports career Scholarship is an ideal route into the watersports industry at a subsidised cost, with guaranteed employment for the 2017 summer season that includes access to further qualifications and personal progression.
Are you looking at starting your watersports career and becoming a qualified instructor?
Matt Dilley joined the Leap for Success Scholarship in January 2016 after wanting to do more with his passion for windsurfing.
“I have been windsurfing for five years and I love being outdoors and on the water. I was working as a paint sprayer in a motor body shop since I was 16 and started looking into becoming a windsurfing instructor.
“The Scholarship has been brilliant, you get so much out of it as I am now a windsurfing instructor and dinghy instructor and I get to be on the water every day. Now that my course has finished, I am working in France, the lake at La Rive is so nice and just being on the water every day is great.”
Want to upskill and gain further RYA instructor qualifications?
Lauren Jelley worked two seasons for Rockley as land staff before joining the scholarship programme to gain her dingy instructor qualification and has now progressed to completing the senior instructor course.
Lauren is now Senior Dinghy Instructor working at La Rive, France.
“There are so many opportunities available within the Rockley across all of the centres both in the UK and France. Working for Rockley Watersports has been the best experience of my life and I am now a fully qualified watersports instructor.”
