This year's Julia's House Butterfly Ball has raised just under £60,000. The annual ball, held at Talbot Heath School in Bournemouth included dinner and an auction.
One of the highest bids of the night was for The Ultimate Sunday Lunch, which involved a chauffer driven car to the airport, then helicopter flight for four to the Plumber Manor Country House Hotel for Sunday lunch! The prize was kindly donated by Bliss Aviation, Amerc Chauffer Services and Plumber Manor Country House Hotel and went for £1650.
The evenings fundraising success was made possible by sponsors, suppliers and performers: Britannia Parking, Poole Audi, Rockley Watersports, Poole Bakery, Farrow & Ball, LV=, Halycon Quartet, Magic by Alfie, Jersey Rollers, Simon Chainey, Amigo Loans, Seventa, Gala Bid, Talbot Heath School, Holroyd Howe, Pink Giraffe and Nick Bird.
Rockley proudly supports the event each year with a watersports-specific auction prize and attends with several members of the team who get to dust off their dresses and dinner jackets and enjoy a night out together.
The evening wouldn't have been possible without the generosity of the guests on the evening, all of the fabulous volunteers for giving up their time, and all of the businesses who contributed to the auction and raffle.
In 2014 Rockley launched their support for Julia's House - a Dorset-based charity which gives care to children of life-limited illnesses and support to their families. The Rockley team actively takes part in running, cycling and triathlon events each year fundraising for Julia's House as well as providing a fun, lively and safe environment for the siblings to spend an active weekend.
