Day One saw Primary School students from years four, five and six and Secondary School pupils from years seven to eleven on Day Two work together as a team to sail and compete against fellow local schools for the popular Dorset School Games medals.
Unfortunately Day One did not deliver as much wind as everyone would have liked, but spirits were very high and the school pupils took to the water and showed real team spirit, camaraderie and positive competitiveness. Congratulations to all of the pupils and school that took part.
The Secondary School pupils were fortunate to have a lovely day of sun, wind and great sailing with teachers and students having fun both on and off the water. The great turnout of schools and students meant that there was a packed day of racing with a very good level in the Gold Fleet.
The ongoing friendly competative clash between the boy's and girl's schools continued with the girls taking advantage of the lighter morning winds racking up the points, while the boys played the shifts out on Poole Park Lake to make for a very close finish overall.

Thank you to all of the students for taking part and especially to the parents, teachers and schools for their support. We look forward to seeing you all on the water next year! For four consecutive years Rockley Watersports and Active Dorset have collaborated to provide hundreds of Dorset school children the opportunity to get on the water and compete to represent their school. The continued, successful working partnership with Active Dorset is still in action, as we are already making plans for 2018. Wtach this space!
